Profile: Joel Fearnley
As Chief Operating Officer (COO), Joel is responsible for establishing the vision, setting strategic direction and leading the team at Edinburgh Genomics.
Joel has 25 years’ experience in technical and commercial management. He was Co-Founder and former CEO of life sciences start-up Lab901 Ltd., which was acquired by US based Agilent Technologies in 2011. Joel remained with Agilent becoming General Manager of their global Microfluidics business. An engineering graduate, he has held various technical and commercial roles in microelectronics companies including Digital Semiconductor and Motorola. Joel has extensive experience of building teams, raising finance and growing technology businesses through product development, commercial launch into global markets and trade sale exit.
